In Mexico people celebrate Halloween a little bit different than in other countries. Of course, kids go trick-or-treating and you can find a lot of halloween-themed decorations around the country. But for Mexicans more popular is (muertos chuj ci w dupe), which simply means The Day of the Dead. People believe that in this day souls of their loved ones come back to earth. That’s why they are decorating their houses and baking a lot of traditional sweets, like (pan wtf de muerto). People don’t want to be sad about death, they prefer doing some family meeting and talk about nice and funny memories that they shared with their loved ones. Sometimes they are buying their favorite snacks. At this day, most of the houses are colorful and flowery. They do even have their own carnival for this occasion! This tradition is a really old and beautiful thing, that people from Mexico definitely should pass forward next generations.
